jav ambasada“I am honored to sign this important memorandum of understanding which will ensure that the prestigious Fulbright Program will continue to connect Lithuanian and American scholars for many years to come.  The Fulbright Program is dedicated to the idea that the advancement of knowledge and international understanding is the key to building a better world for everyone,” said Ambassador Hall.  “Since the beginning of the Fulbright Program in Lithuania, hundreds of Lithuanian and American Fulbrighters have exchanged places to deepen the ties between our academic institutions and our countries.  The relationships built through the Fulbright Program have led to many other partnerships and exchanges between our institutions.”

The Fulbright Program came to Lithuania in 1992. Since then, the Fulbright Program has helped to establish a network of Lithuanian and American institutions of higher education that exchange lecturers, scientific researchers and students.  The program is truly bilateral in broadening cultural and educational contacts between Lithuania and the United States.

Lithuanian professors and graduate students in all academic disciplines are eligible to apply for Fulbright exchange opportunities.  More information can be found at: https://vilnius.usembassy.gov/resources/educational-exchanges2/fulbright-program2.html.
